Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 - December Tag

So this was done using the stocking and candy cane die cuts. I used the technique taught this month using clearly for art layered with frosted film. Once finished I used a spatter brush with picket fence paint.

On the stocking I used distress inks but came out a littler to clear. I took Tim Holtz’s sander and sanded the smooth side of the die cut and painted it with the colors I wanted with liquitex paint.

This is October 2013 tags. My dies finally arrived and my fingers are black and purple. I used the Ornate frame, moon, owl, bat and spider for the Sizzix machine in my little cuttlebug. For the paints I used Tim Holtz distress paints, scattered straw, ripe persimmon, Seedless Preserves, and Crushed Olive.

For the ribbon, I swashed spiced marmalade, seedless preserves, and mustard seed down on my craft sheet, misted them heavily with water and swiped the ribbon through it. Once I dried it, I stamped it with a Happy Halloween stamp and a spider stamp.

September 2013 Tag Inspired by Tim Holtz

For the first time I wasn’t one of the first 5 to post my monthly tag. This has been a busy month. I got a brand new Petco store, and we have completed the insides, had our First day open this last Monday and have our Grand Opening Tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. When looking at my finished tag, I just see a rushed project. However, I did learn a lot of new things to do with stencils and embossing paste. I really like the new techniques.

So when I was following the exact directions on making the August Travel Tags. This image popped into my head and I couldn’t get it to fit on a tag. So I made the art first and make the card around it.

So this will be my final entry in Tim Holtz August Travel tags, he did 4 tags, but I’m only going to submit this 3rd piece. Hopefully I don’t get into trouble for submitting more than one. This one represents my recent trip to San Antonio, TX where I actually visited the Alamo.
